As Academic Dean, Carina Fagan is responsible for the academic oversight of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in business and marketing, delivered in partnership with Atlantic Technological University (ATU), and as a validated QQI provider.
Carina also serves as a Commissioner, on the Board of the State Examinations Commission, an aegis body of the Department of Education, responsible for the delivery of all state examinations in Ireland, including Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate.
Carina has been an awarding professional in the UK awarding and assessment sector for more than 20 years. In her capacity as Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for VTCT (incorporating Skills First, Skills for Logistics and ITEC), Carina was a member of the UK Office for Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) – VTQ Delivery, Oversight and Regulatory Approaches Group, and other expert advisory panels for qualifications regulators and the UK Department for Education (DfE).
In various senior and C-Suite leadership roles throughout her career, Carina has held regulatory, strategic and academic oversight responsibility for the delivery of national, UK and international programmes and partnerships, in higher and technical education, delivered all over the world, to hundreds of thousands of students. Carina is passionate about high quality education leading to valuable, career-enhancing, recognised credentials for students.
