Visa Information

Depending on your nationality you may be required to apply for a visa to study in Ireland.

Proof of Finance Requirement:

You’ll need to show you can cover €10,000 per year to cover living costs in Ireland, in addition to your course fees.  

There are two easy ways to do this: 

  1. Bank statements
    • 6-month account history
    • Proof of savings or sponsorship

    • Approved by Department of Justice

Medical Insurance Requirement

All visa-requiring international students must have private medical insurance, either personally or through a group scheme, at the time of registration. To support you in meeting this requirement, IBAT College’s tuition fees for visa-requiring international students include payment of an approved insurance policy, which the college purchases for you upon receipt of full tuition fee payment. 

Protection for Enrolled Learners

Learner Protection is provided by Arachas Learner Protection Programme and underwritten by Aviva Insurance Ltd. The current fee is 3.5% of the tuition fee. Protection of Enrolled Learners in accordance with section 65(4)(b) of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012 (hereafter the 2012 Act), are covered under this agreement for the duration of the agreement.  

Learner Protection Policy (English Language programmes)

IBAT College Dublin is a member of Marketing English in lreland (MEl), www.mei.ie.
Marketing English in lreland (MEl) member schools espouse Learner Protection, thereby being able to guarantee to students that they will be able to complete all language courses for which they are enrolled.

This policy is set out as a condition of membership within the MEI Bye-Laws
Section 2.3 (E)
“ln the interests of Learner Protection MEI members must agree that, in the event of an MEI school going unexpectedly out of business, they will accept students whose course of tuition in the closed school has not yet expired. The allocation of such students to member schools will be managed by the MEI office.
